Bloodborne Pathogens are infectious microorganisms found in human blood that can cause diseases. Infection Control aims to prevent the spread of these pathogens, especially in healthcare / caregiver / medical settings, through various measures including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and sharps disposal.
Understanding these risks and how to protect yourself can also be valuable to First Aid / Emergency Responders. This course would be approx 3hrs when delivered in-person.
There is a written Test: passing grade is 75%. In-person sessions would also include a practical demonstration: gloving procedures and a simulation of pathogen transference.
