Confined Space Awareness is a course that will educate participants about the: definitions, hazards & risks, hazard controls, training requirements and basic rescue techniques of C/S work.
Both Federal & Ontario Provincial Legislation is cited, along with applicable Standards & Guidelines.
Any person who is involved in C/S work must take this course. Supervisors of these workers must take the course, along with anyone involved in Policies & Procedures about C/S's, and persons involved in accident/incident investigations.
This course would be approx. 6.5hrs when delivered in-person. The in-person course would include a Theoretical presentation with a written test: passing grade = 75%, along with a Practical Demonstration up-to-the-point-of-entry: no actual entry will take-place, unless a training mannequin is provided.
A C/S Rescue program is forthcoming.
